FIRST is a program for students of all ages to explore STEAM fields through collaboration, promoting creativity and ingenuity. The Miami Beach Bots participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). This is an international competition that challenges high school students to create a robot that can complete a specific set of tasks in order to compete in each season's game. Each game is announced on a livestream sometime in early January, marking the beginning of the FIRST season. Then, all subteams begin work on this season and its challenge, designing, coding, and building the robot for the game.
